In ancienttimes, many cultures held a belief that the Earth was flat.Aristotle brought a new perspective to that theory, with variousobservations pointing to a spherical shape instead. Same Earth; newpoint of view. Perhaps he had fallen in love. That has a way ofchanging one’s perspective.

These bandsare flat on top, and are substantial enough to feature a fullcomfort fit interior. You may choose between 10k Yellow gold orWhite gold (with rhodium is the default on white gold; just tell usif you'd prefer to omit it). We use the same third-party certifiedpost-consumer gold in these rings as we do in the 18k option. Thethird-party certification audit is conducted retrospectively, sothis new 10k option will be evaluated and certified when ourcertification renews on June 30, 2012.

Nearly 200years ago, Scotsman John McAdam introduced a breakthrough in roadbuilding technology. The idea? A domed center comprised of stone,with side ditches to convey drainage. It was a simple idea, butmuch better than the roads in use.

This ruggedring succinctly conveys the brilliance. The domed center features ahand-hammered finish, with milgrain sides and smooth edges. It’s asimple idea, but perhaps more interesting than the other hammeredbands you’ve seen.

Made by handin 10k recycled white gold, but otherwise identical to our 18kversion. We use the same third-party certified post-consumergold in these rings as we do in the 18k option. Thethird-party certification audit is conducted retrospectively, sothis new 10k option will be evaluated when our certification renewson June 30, 2012.

Shown withrhodium, but available without rhodium by request. Available in ourother metals by request.

Our recycledgold bands are hand cast by local artisans. The bands are slightlydomed and have a rounded interior for ultimate comfort. You maychoose between 10k Yellow gold or White gold (with rhodium is thedefault on white gold; just tell us if you'd prefer to omit it),18k Rose gold, and 14k Palladium White gold. We also offer threefinishes: Silt, Polished, Stone. All three finishes offer acomfortable high polish interior.

Our computers,like our love, are built upon very simple foundations. In the caseof computers, that foundation is binary code.

Thesesophisticated, yet simple rings bear your personalized message inthat computer code. A little Geek is nice, no?

Binary code isa way of representing numbers using a pair of symbols (such as 1and 0) in a string. The placement of the symbol in the stringdetermines its value, just like the decimal place of the digits inour normal counting numbers determines their values.

In binary notation:

1 is one,

10 is two,

11 isthree,

100 is four,etc.

With 5 digitsyou can count from 0 to 31, enough to represent all 26 letters ofthe alphabet with 1=A, 2=B and so on.

On the Binaryrings, there are 5 parallel tracks running around the ring, eachtrack representing a digit in the binary lexicon. The track isengraved for 1 and left blank for 0. In this way, the five lines ofengraving which progress around the ring spell out, in combination,your personalized message. Whew! Got it?
