You don’t have
to know physics to appreciate the vibrant colors in these earrings,
but physicists will understand the source of the colors. The color
effect, diffraction grating, is caused in a way similar to that of
the rainbow you see in an oil slick, or the rainbow reflection on a
CD. Each band of color is individually created in a multi-step
process by the artist.
Earrings have
a pattern on both sides. The earrings are worn draped through the
earlobe, with the dangling disk, and dangling bar creating a
pleasing show of color and movement.
