This ring features lab created Moissanite, a gem found naturally only in trace amounts in meteorite craters. Moissanite has greater brilliance and twice the fire of diamonds. Hence the name of this piece we call Bolide, a term used to identify a very bright meteor.
The diamond folks like to portray Moissanite as a 'wanna-be' diamond. But its origins are more exotic, and it offers more fire and brilliance than a diamond. We think it deserves its own place in the sun.
Set with two 4mm and one 6.5mm antique square Moissanite, the equivalent of about 2 carats of diamonds. Cast in 100% post-consumer gold. Also available in recycled platinum.
